Walton Ford: An Orbed Drop of Light
About
Walton Ford’s paintings and accompanying studies examine encounters between humans, animals and the natural world, with wolves and birds set within expansive landscapes.
The exhibition includes paintings of wolves framed against dramatic skies and works exploring passenger pigeons and other birds, placing the scale and beauty of the natural world beside histories of human intervention. Accompanying studies offer another view of Ford’s approach. Walton Ford is the current exhibiting artist; poets, historical thinkers and artists referenced in the work are not additional exhibitors. The separately advertised September16 conversation with Glenn Brown was before the collection window and is not presented as ordinary gallery viewing.
