LANO String Quartet

The LANO String Quartet, winners of the 2025 Leamington Music Prize Audience Prize, play Caroline Shaw, Haydn and Elgar in a morning coffee concert.

The LANO String Quartet — Shuwei Zuo and Yuwen Fan (violins), Jinhe Huang (viola) and Nick Stringfellow (cello) — give a morning coffee concert as part of the Richard Phillips Coffee Concerts series. The programme pairs Caroline Shaw's Plan and Elevation (2015), the work that won the quartet the audience prize at the 2025 Leamington Music Prize competition, with Haydn's String Quartet Op. 64 No. 5 in D major, 'The Lark', and Elgar's String Quartet in E minor, Op. 83. Coffee is served from 11am, there is no interval, and the concert is estimated to finish at 12.30pm.
