About
Stroud Film Society screens I Swear, the BAFTA-winning drama about John Davidson living with Tourette's syndrome, at The Sub Rooms.
I Swear follows John Davidson, an aspiring footballer who starts secondary school in the 1980s and begins to develop episodes of swearing and tics. Ostracised at school and at home, he struggles with a condition few people are aware of. The film is described as hugely sympathetic and uplifting, and won a BAFTA for its leading actor Robert Aramayo.
