Naze family fossil hunt

A family fossil hunt at The Naze with an introductory talk on local geology followed by a guided beach fossil hunt.

Essex Wildlife Trust's Wilder Learning team leads this family session at The Naze, beginning with an introductory talk about the area's geology and a collection of local fossils, including large shark teeth. The group then heads to the beach for a guided fossil hunt, with leaders helping participants find and identify their own finds. The session lasts 90 minutes and goes ahead in all weather; attendees should bring warm, waterproof layers and suitable footwear for a muddy clay beach.
