A free drop-in Halloween trick-or-treat evening with spooky crafts and challenges at Hugh Miller's Birthplace Cottage in Cromarty.

Hugh Miller's Birthplace Cottage opens its doors to guisers on Halloween night for two hours of trick-or-treat fun, spooky crafts and scary challenges. The cottage is billed as one of the most haunted buildings in Cromarty, where Hugh Miller reportedly saw a ghostly pirate on the stairs as a child. Visitors are encouraged to dress up and can drop in free of charge any time between 5pm and 7pm; under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
