The Gigspanner Big Band

The Gigspanner Big Band bring their boundary-pushing British folk-roots music to Huntingdon Hall for one evening concert.

The Gigspanner Big Band, formed around former Steeleye Span fiddle player Peter Knight, perform their high-energy blend of traditional folk and experimental folk-roots music. The expanded line-up features percussionist Sacha Trochet, guitarist Roger Flack, multi-instrumental duo Edgelarks (Phillip Henry and Hannah Martin) and Bellowhead co-founder John Spiers on melodeon. The band has been praised by publications including The Guardian, Mojo and The Telegraph for combining deep roots knowledge with an innovative, genre-crossing approach.
