Jacqueline Marval
About
A major retrospective brings more than 40 paintings and selected lithographs together to reassess Jacqueline Marval’s place in early French modernism.
The first UK museum exhibition devoted to Jacqueline Marval (1866–1932) brings together more than 40 paintings and selected lithographs, including works not previously exhibited. It traces her contribution to early French modernism and the Parisian avant-garde, with attention to the influences of fashion, costume, literature and dance. Highlights include L’Odalisque au Guépard and Les Odalisques. Curated by Lucien Roux of the Comité Jacqueline Marval, the exhibition is presented with the Comité and supported by The Christian Levett Collection and FAMM.
