Cultural Trip to Guinea, West Africa - Jan/Feb 2027

Batafon Arts' annual cultural trip to Guinea, West Africa, offering African drumming and dance tuition for two, three or four weeks from 22 January 2027.

Batafon Arts runs its annual cultural trip to a small village outside Boke, Guinea, led by Ali 'Baba' Bangoura. Participants — from experienced drummers and dancers to complete beginners — stay in African round houses on Ali's compound and take group drumming and dance tuition, with optional sightseeing and yoga. The stay can be two, three or four weeks, and includes shared airport transfers from Conakry, accommodation, tuition, and simple breakfast and lunch. A Yellow Fever certificate is required; under-18s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
