Synaxis of Theotokos

A Greek Orthodox liturgy at St Demetrios & St Nikitas in Plymouth celebrating the Synaxis of the Theotokos, held the day after Christmas.

This service is the Synaxis of the Theotokos (Σύναξις της Θεοτόκου), a feast kept on 26 December in immediate celebration after the Nativity of the Saviour, honouring the Mother of God. It forms part of the church's published programme of Orthodox Christian services in Plymouth, which includes Sunday Liturgies, Vespers and feast-day services throughout the year. The liturgy begins at 09:30 and is open to the public.
