Madama Butterfly

Ukrainian National Opera® presents Puccini’s Madama Butterfly, a timeless opera about love, devotion, and sacrifice.

Set in Japan at the turn of the twentieth century, the opera follows Cio-Cio-San, a young geisha who gives up everything for love. Her marriage to the American naval officer Pinkerton offers dreams of happiness, but her unwavering faith leads to a heartbreaking conclusion. The performance is in Italian with English surtitles and is accompanied by a live orchestra.
