Peterborough Jazz Club: Harry Allen & Fraser Smith Quintet

Peterborough Jazz Club hosts a quintet led by tenor saxophonists Harry Allen and Fraser Smith playing swing-era jazz.

Peterborough Jazz Club welcomes American tenor saxophonist Harry Allen back after many years, teaming up with British saxophonist Fraser Smith for a quintet date on their short UK tour. The programme focuses on swing and straight-ahead jazz, drawing on the golden age of jazz from 1940s Kansas City through to 1960s New York. Allen has released over 70 albums as a leader, while Smith has spent fifteen years establishing himself on the London jazz scene.
