About
A New Year’s Eve procession carrying torches and a decorated horse skull, recreating the Welsh Mari Lwyd tradition around Llanwrtyd Wells.
Leave the town square at 22:30, following the decorated horse skull through town for traditional Welsh verse exchanges at different locations. The procession returns for the midnight celebrations. A samba procession reaches the square at 22:00, with drumming before and after the walk. No advance registration is required; torches are sold from 21:00.
