Small BUT Mighty Black Book Fair

A free Black History Month book fair at Victoria Library with displays to browse and borrow, items to buy, and an evening programme including a possible reading.

This evening event marks Black History Month 2026 with a small book fair celebrating Black literary works and artistic expression. Visitors can browse a special display from SUBTERRANEA library and an archival-to-contemporary book display from Victoria Library covering history, poetry and cultural practices (borrowing requires library sign-up), plus a selection of objects from Black writers, artists and cultural figures available to purchase. The evening runs from 5:30pm with an open house, a possible reading around 7pm (to be confirmed), and a farewell from 7:30pm.
