Contemporary Art - Behind the Artwork: Residency, Exhibition & Studio Visit

A guided visit to Gasworks exploring its artist residency programme, Paloma Contreras Lomas' exhibition and a studio visit with a resident artist.

This behind-the-scenes visit looks at the ecosystem supporting contemporary art at Gasworks, an organisation dedicated to helping artists through residencies and creative exchange. A Gasworks team member introduces the organisation and its residency programme before guiding the group through Disco Inferno, Paloma Contreras Lomas' first solo exhibition in Europe, explaining the ideas and research behind it and how the work developed during her residency. Participants will also meet a residency artist in their studio. Places are limited due to the small studio space.
