Science Night Glasgow : Space Travel

A free monthly science social evening on the theme of space travel, with talks from physicists and mathematicians, food and drinks.

Science Night Glasgow's second event of the season explores what it would really take to travel through space, from how stars burn and what powers a ship across vast distances to why physics limits our speed. The evening mixes physics, maths and thought experiments, touching on questions like why we haven't heard from anyone in the universe and whether faster-than-light travel is possible. The speaker line-up of physicists, mathematicians and space engineers is yet to be announced. No prior knowledge is needed, and the night includes food, drinks and socialising.
