About
On Christmas Eve, the miserly Ebenezer Scrooge is visited by spirits who show him his past, present and likely future, forcing him to choose between a lonely death and redemption.
This 1938 family fantasy drama adapts Dickens's beloved tale of a cold-hearted miser transformed by ghostly visitors on Christmas Eve. Directed by Edwin L. Marin, the film stars Reginald Owen as Scrooge, with Gene Lockhart, Barry MacKay and Leo G. Carroll among the supporting cast. A compact, festive classic, it runs at just over an hour.
