Introduction to modern upholstery

Practise using modern upholstery tools and materials on a simple drop-in seat, with beginner instruction in a small group.

This afternoon workshop can also be booked as part of the full-day chair experience. It focuses on technique and does not include a take-home furniture item; completing the seat is not guaranteed. Tools and core materials are supplied. Wear closed shoes and old clothes; some manual handling is involved. For adults aged 18 and over. For October 31, a combined full-day booking joins the morning painting and afternoon upholstery sessions, with a 14:00–14:30 lunch break. It includes a chair to take home and core materials; bring your own seat fabric, or buy from the available selection starting at £30. Completion depends on individual pace.
