Imogen Cooper | Heart and Soul | Schubert - Complete Impromptus

Dame Imogen Cooper gives her farewell solo recital performing Schubert's complete Impromptus at Oxford's Holywell Music Room.

Pianist Dame Imogen Cooper performs Schubert's complete Impromptus — the four of D.899 and the four of D.935 — in what is billed as her farewell solo recital. The programme notes trace the history of the Impromptu genre and publisher Anton Diabelli's gradual release of these 1827 works. The 1 hour 45 minute recital is presented by The Kettner Society; under-14s must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
