Florence “Flo” Smith – Now & Then
About
Ursula Mohan portrays Florence Smith, whose memories carry a London woman from Victorian childhood through the Boer War and the Summer of Love.
The piece draws on reminiscences Florence Smith shared with writer Christopher Saul, her paternal grandson, in recordings made in 1969. Ursula Mohan is billed as Flo, portraying a daughter, sister, wife, mother, widow and grandmother looking back across a life in London from the Boer War to the Summer of Love. The theatre lists performances on 6 and 7 November and credits Christopher Saul as writer, director and designer, Elliott Wallis for lighting and Adam Morris for sound. The venue is on the Bridge House Pub’s first floor and is accessible by stairs only, according to its event page.
