The Scottish Cinema Organ Trust presents a big-screen showing of Charlie Chaplin's 1936 comedy Modern Times, following the Little Tramp through factory-floor chaos as he finds companionship and love in a frantic modern world. Iain McGlinchey accompanies the film live on the hall's Wurlitzer organ in the tradition of silent-era cinema organists, improvising everything from romantic melodies to full-orchestra effects. The event runs about two hours, with doors at 7pm, and is pitched as a Valentine's-season outing for Chaplin fans and vintage-cinema lovers.
