Mark Smith – The Victoria Cross ‘Hearts of Oak’

Mark Smith presents an evening talk exploring the history and human stories behind the Victoria Cross, Britain's highest award for gallantry.

Mark Smith brings the story of the Victoria Cross to life, tracing the medal's origins and the courage of its recipients through true accounts of bravery in battle. The evening explores what drives ordinary people to extraordinary acts, culminating in an interactive moment where the audience is asked 'What would you do?'. An optional pre-show meet and greet lets up to 20 guests bring family medals or militaria for Mark to examine and value.
