About

A free screening of five films by artist Annette Kennerley exploring queer relationships, trans lives and motherhood, followed by a Q&A with the artist and Sweatmother.

UCL's Centre for the Study of Contemporary Art, Cinenova, LUX and Spectra present a screening of works by East London filmmaker Annette Kennerley, recently digitised by MSc Conservation of Contemporary Art & Media students. The programme spans five works from 1986 to 1997, including 'Bet Lynch's Earrings', 'Pride and Prejudice' (made with Debi Hall), 'Red Sails', 'Boys in the Backyard' and 'Kelby', exploring queer relationships, transgender lives and experiences of motherhood. The one-hour film programme is followed by a Q&A and conversation between Kennerley and artist/filmmaker Sweatmother. The event runs for two hours in total and is 18+.
