Spooky Gardening at Manor Paddock
About
GoodGym Brighton volunteers run to Manor Paddock to help with spooky-season gardening tasks at a senior residents' home.
This GoodGym group run combines exercise with volunteering: participants meet at the Queen Victoria Statue in Victoria Gardens, run to Manor Paddock sheltered accommodation in Kemp Town, and help with gardening tasks including cutting back lavender, planting bulbs, pruning buddleia, raking leaves and weeding. Run distances of 3km to 6km are available, with the run to and from the task making up half the distance each way. Participants aged 18 and over should bring garden gloves and a headtorch, as the work continues into the evening; latecomers can meet at the task from 6:45pm.
