About

A guided tour of the Barbican Centre and surrounding estate explores the site’s Brutalist architecture and the ideas behind its design.

The 90-minute tour traces the Barbican’s story from Roman remains and wartime destruction to the design of the modernist estate. Tours meet outside the Barbican Shop on Level G and take place mostly outdoors; the route includes steps and uneven surfaces. Contact the venue at least 24 hours ahead to arrange a step-free route or other access provision.
