Sonny Flint’s Beano Bluesbreakers

A tribute band led by drummer Sonny Flint performs John Mayall’s 1966 album Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton in full at The Robin 2 in Bilston.

Sonny Flint’s Beano Bluesbreakers celebrates the music and legacy of John Mayall’s 1966 album Blues Breakers with Eric Clapton, a defining recording of the British blues movement. The band performs the album in full alongside additional material from the Blues Breakers’ mid-1960s repertoire, drawing on musicians from blues, rock and jazz backgrounds. Drummer Sonny Flint, son of original Blues Breakers drummer Hughie Flint, leads the project, which aims to respect the original performances rather than reinterpret them.
