About

Daisy Hall's darkly comic new play about an icebound whaling crew, directed by Lucy Morrison, receives its world premiere at Hampstead Downstairs.

Dogstar is a new play by Daisy Hall, directed by Lucy Morrison, receiving its world premiere at Hampstead Theatre Downstairs. The crew of the Dogstar, whalers with no whales left to catch, have been icebound for months and mutiny is brewing as they look for someone to blame. Strange heavenly visions appear among the crew — possibly scurvy, the endless polar night, or a chance at salvation. The cast includes Justin Edwards, Abdul Jalloh and Adam Rojko Vega, with evening performances at 7.45pm and Thursday and Saturday matinees at 2.45pm.
