The Confectionery Stories
About
Early Doors perform Justin Cartledge's fast-paced political drama-comedy about CIA operatives in 1960s Virginia, in two acts.
Early Doors present The Confectionery Stories, original fast-paced political drama/comedies by Justin Cartledge, described as 'The West Wing' meets 'Catch Me If You Can'. Set in Virginia from the 1960s onwards at the height of the Cold War, it follows a hyper-caffeinated team of Langley operatives in the CIA's most unorthodox division. The evening comprises two acts: Act 1, 'Tootsie Roll', set in 1962 amid the space race and Cuba tensions, and Act 2, 'Butterfinger', set in 1964 with NASA, Vietnam and civil unrest. The performance runs from 7:45pm to 10:00pm.
