St Peter's Public Talk: 'Russia's War on Ukraine: When Will It End? What Is Its Global Impact?'
About
A free public talk at St Peter's College where a former UK ambassador and a North Korea expert discuss Russia's war on Ukraine and its global implications.
St Peter's College hosts its Michaelmas term public talk, part of a series hosted by Acting Master Dr Huw Dorkins. Former ambassador Simon Smith CMG joins Dr Edward Howell, Lecturer in Politics at the college, to discuss the origins and course of Russia's war on Ukraine, why a cessation of hostilities looks unlikely soon, and the implications for the rules-based international order. The conversation also covers the Russia–North Korea alliance and US policy towards both protagonists. The event takes place in the college chapel and is free and open to all.
