Ustad Irshad Khan | The World of Yaman & Gujri Todi

Sitar maestro Ustad Irshad Khan hosts a workshop exploring the expressive ragas Yaman and Gujri Todi for intermediate learners.

This workshop is designed for intermediate sitar learners to deepen their technique and musical understanding. Ustad Irshad Khan will explore the expressive possibilities of two contrasting ragas: the serene, devotional Yaman and the searching, introspective Gurji Todi. The session focuses on guided learning and practical demonstrations, showing how a raga's mood can be shaped through phrasing, touch, and microtonal shading.
