About

An evening of spoken word, poetry and folk music from local performers at the community-owned Waldegrave pub, raising funds for Avon Needs Trees.

East Harptree Scribblers host a harvest celebration of spoken words, poetry and song at the community-owned Waldegrave pub. Doors open at 6.30pm with performances from 7.30 to 9.30pm, followed by an afterbar to meet the performers until 10.15pm. The bill includes witchy folk collective The Dorothy Sisters, folk singer Susanna 'Ted' Waters, multi-instrumentalist Sarah Mitchell Rogers with her husband Dan, musician and storyteller Jean Luckett, and Tony Watkin with acoustic songs inspired by Jake Thackray, plus members of the Harptree Scribblers. All profits go to Avon Needs Trees, whose trustee Cathy Bedford will speak about the charity's woodland work in the Chew Valley.
