The Bookish Bus is a festive afternoon coach trip taking readers to five independent bookshops across Glasgow and beyond, departing from Bigglestones Books. The roughly 4–5 hour journey includes unlimited tea, coffee and hot chocolate, mince pies and biscuits, an onboard book swap, a Christmas jumper competition and an optional sing-a-long. Attendees can also buy signed copies of Jade Jack's debut novel Kiss Me Down Under. The event requires a minimum of 40 tickets sold to go ahead, with full refunds if not met.
