About
A grieving mother’s actions plunge a Black community into chaos in Ngozi Onwurah’s dystopian drama about slavery’s legacy, racism and police violence.
Set in a sprawling urban community called the Terrordome, the film links present-day racial tension and police brutality to the legacy of slavery. Onwurah draws on slave narratives, Afrofuturism and Greek tragedy.
