Irma la Douce

A former Paris policeman becomes Irma’s pimp, then devises an elaborate disguise to keep the woman he loves off the streets.

Billy Wilder’s comedy pairs Jack Lemmon and Shirley MacLaine in a story of infatuation, insecurity and self-deception. Nestor’s plan grows more elaborate as he tries to keep Irma for himself while hiding his identity.
