About
Novelist Ajay Close explores the real events behind What Doesn’t Kill Us, a story of murder, women’s resistance and unexpected alliances in 1970s Yorkshire.
Close discusses how the Yorkshire Ripper murders informed her fictional account, and asks what has changed since the 1970s through themes of violence, divided loyalties and friendship.
