Christmas in York 2026

York's city-centre Christmas market brings festive stalls, seasonal food, drink and gift shopping to Parliament Street and St Sampson's Square.

Festive shopping, food and drink fill the heart of York, with traders bringing gifts, seasonal favourites and tempting treats to the city centre. The market is open 12th November to 21st December, 10.30am–7pm, closing at 5pm on Monday 21st December, and closed on Tuesdays for a rest day while the rest of the city stays open. The wider Christmas in York season encourages visitors to explore the city's shops, attractions, cafés and restaurants alongside the market.
