Over the Edge (1979)

Bored teenagers in the planned community of New Granada grow increasingly restless and rise up against the adults and authorities around them.

This 1979 crime drama from director Jonathan Kaplan follows restless youths in the planned community of New Granada as their simmering resentment of the adults around them boils over. The film features early performances from Matt Dillon, alongside Michael Eric Kramer and Pamela Ludwig. A taut portrait of teenage alienation, it remains a striking slice of late-1970s American cinema.
