Tchaikovsky's Symphony No.5 in Edinburgh

The BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra under Ryan Wigglesworth performs Lyadov, Mussorgsky songs with soprano Sophie Bevan, and Tchaikovsky's Fifth Symphony at the Usher Hall.

Ryan Wigglesworth conducts the BBC Scottish Symphony Orchestra in an all-Russian programme opening the Usher Hall series. Lyadov's Baba Yaga and The Enchanted Lake evoke a witch's hut and a supernatural lake, before Sophie Bevan sings Mussorgsky's Songs and Dances of Death. After the interval the concert closes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 5 in E minor.
