Singing Assembly at FPCC

A friendly drop-in morning choir meeting Tuesdays at Florence Park Community Centre, teaching songs in harmony by ear with no need to read music.

Singing Assembly is a drop-in community choir running in weekly Tuesday sessions at Florence Park Community Centre. Each session begins with vocal warm-ups, games and ditties before moving on to short songs, rounds and unaccompanied songs from oral traditions in two- or three-part harmony. The repertoire spans gospel, folk and world music, chosen for mixed-ability, non-performing singers, with many songs achievable in a single session. All songs are taught by ear, and the group is open to experienced singers and complete beginners alike.
