Savage House

In 18th-century England, amid a pox outbreak and Jacobite unrest, Sir Chauncey and Lady Savage chase a grander life in a household rife with duels, decadence and bloodshed.

This period comedy-drama follows the deluded Sir Chauncey Savage and his wife as they pursue a better life against a backdrop of plague and rebellion in 18th-century England. Directed by Peter Glanz, the film blends satire with drama as its title proves fittingly apt. The cast features Richard E. Grant, Claire Foy, Jack Farthing and Bel Powley.
