About

A family festive pantomime of Dick Whittington's gold-paved adventure, running at Barnsley Civic from 5 to 28 December 2026.

This Christmas pantomime follows Dick as he arrives in Barnsley seeking fortune, finds work and love, and must outwit a rodent villain threatening his happy ending. The show features singing, comedy and family-friendly action set locally in South Yorkshire, and runs in the Assembly Theatre with matinee and evening performances. Accessible options include a relaxed performance on 6 December and a BSL-interpreted performance on 12 December, both at 1pm.
