Carer Social Club – autumn programme
About
A monthly peer group for unpaid carers, with dementia support in October, a practical care workshop in November and a Christmas gathering in December.
Sessions run from 13:00 to 15:00, combining a workshop or activity with time to meet other carers. Attendance is for adults over 18 who live in, or care for a resident of, Hackney, Tower Hamlets or Newham and support someone with a life-limiting or progressive condition, palliative needs or moderate to advanced dementia. The person cared for does not need to be known to the hospice. Carers can attend without registering but cannot bring the person they care for. October is led by the Dementia Wellbeing East London team; November by the Therapies Manager and Practice Development Nurse.
