Basil Hodge's quartet, featuring saxophonist Tony Kofi, performs the pianist's compositions from 'A Point of Reference' at the Vortex Jazz Club.

Pianist and composer Basil Hodge, a fixture of the British jazz scene since the early nineties, leads his quartet through his own compositions from the critically acclaimed album 'A Point of Reference' alongside some of his earlier tunes. He is joined by Tony Kofi on alto saxophone, Oli Hayhurst on double bass and Alfonso Vitale on drum kit. The set spans two performances of contemporary jazz blending swing, Latin and funk rhythms, with doors at 7.45pm and music from 8.30pm.
