Leos Angels Memorial Walk
About
A 13-mile memorial walk along the Thames Path from Woolwich to London Bridge in memory of Leo O'Brien, raising awareness of epilepsy and SUDEP.
Organised by Leo's Angels, this second annual memorial walk marks what would have been Leo O'Brien's birthday; Leo died from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) shortly after his 11th birthday. Participants start at Woolwich Pier and follow the Thames Path towards London, walking the full 13 miles or joining for half the route, with a mid-point stop in Greenwich for food and drink. The walk ends at London Bridge with drinks, food and a raffle, and funds raised support Leo's Angels' work on epilepsy care through technology, research and better-connected information. Harry Potter-themed clothing and accessories are encouraged in Leo's memory.
