For the Plasma (2014)

At a remote house on the Maine coast, forest lookout Helen studies camera footage and begins to see a pattern that predicts movements in global markets. When her friend Charlie arrives, their relationship and Helen’s way of interpreting the images start to shift.

The story centres on Helen’s work monitoring nearby woodland from an isolated coastal lookout. Her close study of CCTV footage leads her to an unexpected connection between the forest and financial markets; Charlie’s visit unsettles the pair’s friendship and the routine Helen has built around her observations.
