Adult Beginners’ Session

An evening of games and coaching for adults relatively new to chess, playing others of a similar level and improving their game.

Hammersmith Chess Club hosts a session of games and coaching aimed at adults who are relatively inexperienced at chess and want to play others of a similar level over the board. It is suitable for adults new to the game up to around 900 rating on chess.com or lichess rapid/daily. Complete beginners who don't yet know how the pieces move are welcome, and are asked to let coach Jenny know in advance so their needs can be met.
