About

Faiza Shaheen talks with historian and journalist Taj Ali about his new book on South Asian resistance to racism, followed by a Q&A.

Faiza Shaheen hosts this month's in-conversation event at Pankhurst Hall, Woodford Memorial Hall, joined by historian, journalist and former Tribune editor Taj Ali. Ali discusses his new book, Come What May, We're Here to Stay: The Story of South Asian Resistance, which tells how the South Asian community organised against racism in the past and continues to fight in the present. The evening considers how past radical political activism can shape future activism, and the conversation is followed by a Q&A. The event runs for two hours and is free to attend, with donations welcomed.
