About

A rod-puppet retelling of Aesop’s fable, with original music and songs as town and country mouse swap homes.

The two cousins visit one another: the Town Mouse meets the unfamiliar countryside while the Country Mouse navigates the city and its hazards. The Puppet Theatre Barge tells Aesop’s fable with rod puppets, original music and nursery rhymes. The performance runs 45 minutes without an interval and is recommended for ages 3–7; the venue cautions that it was not designed specifically for under-threes and that the theatre darkens during the show. The published run includes a relaxed performance on Saturday 31 October at 10:30am.
