Ade Adesina: Bard
About
A major solo exhibition of monumental woodcuts, etchings, linocuts and screen-prints by Aberdeen-based printmaker Ade Adesina at the City Art Centre.
The City Art Centre hosts Bard, a major solo exhibition by Aberdeen-based printmaker Ade Adesina, bringing together an expansive collection of his monumental woodcuts, etchings, linocuts and screen-prints. The works explore themes including climate change and colonial histories, balancing beauty with darker undercurrents about human impact on the natural world. Rooted in his African heritage and informed by British culture and global travel, the prints appear classical at first glance but reveal complex narratives on closer inspection. A newly commissioned print produced specially for Edinburgh will be included.
