Britten Sinfonia - Surround Sound Playlist

An immersive live 'playlist' concert by Britten Sinfonia and Tenebrae performed from all directions around Ely Cathedral.

Britten Sinfonia's Surround Sound Playlist is an immersive concert in which over 100 musicians perform a seamless, radio-mix-style sequence from multiple stages all around Ely Cathedral's nave. The programme spans Handel's Zadok the Priest, Prokofiev's Dance of the Knights, Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man and Allegri's Miserere, plus works by Bartók, Lauridsen, Morricone, Ravel, Caroline Shaw and Tavener. Audiences can relax on the floor in an Immersive Zone (mats and cushions welcome, no chairs) or use reservable and unreserved seating, in a relaxed, family-friendly atmosphere with a licensed bar.
