About
Flamsteed Astronomy Society hosts a free public observing night on Blackheath, with telescopes for viewing planets and deep-sky objects when conditions permit.
The society welcomes members and non-members to an outdoor astronomy observing session north of Talbot Place on Blackheath Common. Telescopes are available for viewing planets and deep-sky objects, weather permitting. The official programme groups ten Saturday sessions from October 2026 to April 2027; each detail page names weather-backup dates, which remain alternatives rather than confirmed extra performances.
